The FUTURAHMA group at the Conference ‘Technart 2015’

April 27-30, 2015, Catania

2015_TECHNART_2Part of the chemists and restorers of the FUTURAHMA group took part in the Conference Technart 2015. Non destructive and microanalytical techniques in art and cultural heritage (Catania, April 27-30, 2015) with the poster Combined vibrational and chromatographic study of historical lakes and dyes. The poster presented the research made on several red lakes belonging to the Lefranc & Bourgeois Archive in Le Mans (France) and dating from 1890 to 1921. The main goal was to characterise these materials through a multi-technical approach and combining information from multispectral imaging at various wavelengths, XRF, FTIR, Raman Spectroscopy (conventional and SERS), and HPLC. Furthermore, the CNR-ISTM group took part in the Conference with the talk Vibrational and structural study of CdS-based pigments: implication for their identification on modern paintings.
