Ilaria Bonaduce is associate professor at the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry of the University of Pisa. She is currently lecturer in Analytical Chemistry for Cultural Heritage for the master course in Chemistry.

Her research focuses on the development and implementation of analytical methods for characterising organic materials collected from artworks. This research is on one side dedicated at the reliable identification of organic materials in paint samples to reconstruct painting techniques and technologies of the past, and on the other at understanding the organic material degradation in works of art as an effect of age, simultaneous presence of other materials (organic and inorganic), anthropic factors, etc. She has been the scientific coordinator of the Marie Curie Action, Intra European Fellowships (IEF) SYNOPIE, funded within the 7th Framework Program, has actively participated to several national and international projects, as unit leader and as partecipants. She is author of over 55 scientific papers, and over 90 communications to conferences.
