Francesca Di Girolamo

Francesca Di Girolamo has a degree in the Analysis and Conservation of Modern and Contemporary art from the University of Ferrara, Italy (2008).
She has worked at the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry, University of Pisa for her master thesis entitled “Protezione dei dipinti in cornici microclimatiche: indagini fisico-chimiche per la valutazione del degrado di vernici pittoriche”, part of the European FP6 research project PROPAINT. She obtained a Master’s Degree in “Innovative Technologies and Advanced Systems for Underwater Archaeology.”, as a part of project Blu-Archeosys, at CONSORZIO CETMA, Brindisi (Italy), in 2010. Since April 2011 she has been working at the SCIBEC laboratory at  University of Pisa.  From February 2014 she obtained a research fellowship as part of FIRB project FUTURAHMA. Her  Phd research is part of the European FP7 research project MEMORIand is focused on the investigation of degradation processes of natural and synthetic resins used as varnish on painting.
