The process of cataloguing materials requires the definition of forms and a database, in order to categorize the rich collection belonging to the Fondazione Livorno which includes materials from Benvenuti’s legacy. These include paint tubes, colours, varnishes and paint brushes, palettes and written sources, and provide clear evidence of the importance of the products from Lefranc for Grubicy and his pupil. This work is part of the research on materials from the painter’s studio, and is the opportunity for an in-depth study of the transition from Divisionism to Futurism.
