FROM FUTURISM TO CLASSICISM (1910-1922)

Research, Art History and Materials Analysis

From Futurism to Classicism (1910-1922). Research, Art History and Materials Analysis is a three-year multidisciplinary research project which connects art historians, restorers, chemists and physicists. The project will feature an in depth study of the materials and techniques employed by artists belonging to the Futurist and Metaphysical movements, as well as the ‘ritorno al classico’ and will involve a close comparison between written sources, and scientific analysis of works and studio materials conserved in archives and museums.

The research project FUTURAHMA (2013-2016) is financed by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) within the Future in Research 2012 program
