The open lesson was given by Claudia Marchese for SAVS students of History of Contemporary Art (course held by Mattia Patti), and presented the role paint manufacturers had on the evolution of artists practice, with a particular focus on the stability of industrial materials. The case of Lefranc, and the relationship between the production of new materials (as reported by the chemist and artist G.-J. Vibert), their promotion and their distribution in Italy was highlighted as was the use of Lefranc materials by artists.
